Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra (RRPK) is an NGO dedicated to develop rural communities in Education, Health & Nutrition, Child Protection, Livelihood, Human Rights, Safer Migration, gender and empowerment, good governance, Disaster Risk Reduction and WASH in Nepal since 2004. It has been implementing “Sponsorship Program” in Sarlahi District in partnership with Save the Children

Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizen only) who are reliable, accountable, and have the ability to deliver results with the highest level of integrity for the following position under both “Sponsorship program” in Godaita Municipality & Balara Municipality, Sarlahi.

 

  • Position :           Field Officer – 1

 

Under the close collaboration and consultation with Project coordinator, s/he is responsible for providing technical assistance to subordinate on education (ECCD & Basic Education), and also able to prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual report) and documents best practices. S/he is also responsible for monitoring, capacity building and reporting in the assigned sector.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the Education or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Early Childhood Care and Development/Basic Education.
  • Able to organize and facilitate training/orientation of relevant sector.
  • Able to develop annual plan, execute, monitor and evaluate.
  • Having minimum 2 years’ experience in community mobilization.
  • Can speak English and Nepali and able to prepare report in both languages.
  • Aware and familiar with local language.
  • Computer knowledge (word, excel, power point,) and strong in email internet.
  • Willing to spend 100% time in field work and having willing to work with children.
  • Having valid driving license along with personal bike.
  • Able to coordinate with local and district level government structures for effective implementation of planned activities.
  • Can adjust in team and play the role of supportive.

 

  • Position :           Community Mobilizer – 6

 

The Community Mobilizer (CM) is responsible for overall community mobilization in the target areas for effective and efficient implementation of project activities. S/he will coordinate, collaborate and networking with ward level stakeholders, I/NGOs and government offices for making the target program more achievable and meaningful for the entire beneficiaries. S/he manages regular supervision of target communities under ward and collects relevant data for further compilation and reporting. In overall, S/he will play a catalytic role between Sponsorship program, RRPK and Community.

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum of 10+2 level or equivalent in any academic stream (HA, JTA, CMA, or candidates from technical background are highly encouraged to apply).
  • Working experience in Education, Health, Child Protection or Livelihood/Agriculture/Veterinary in rural context.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills both in Maithili and Nepali
  • Ability and willingness to work in team and to work under pressure and in remote/difficult circumstances.
  • Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning implementation of activities.
  • Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagement.
  • Willing to work with various communities and cast groups.
  • Committed to rights based and gender & child sensitive work
  • Able, willing and committed to work with group of people of different backgrounds.
  • Having valid driving license.

 

 

  • Position :           MEAL Assistant – 1

 

The MEAL assistant will report to the MEAL Officer and is responsible to ensure the accountability and transparency system of Program to beneficiaries and also able to prepare case study, success stories, and programmatic reports for further documentation.

 

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum of 10+2 level or equivalent in any academic stream.
  • Fluent in English writing and reporting
  • Excellence in MS Word, Excel and PPT.
  • Experience of working with project
  • Knowledge of Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and transparency system of program implementation
  • Experience of conducting survey through digital application and knowledge of data analysis.
  • Able to speak local (Maithali) language.
  • Having valid driving license.

 

 

  • Position :           Junior Technical Assistant – 1

The JTA will report to the Field Officer and is responsible for distributing agricultural inputs in the community, identifying/forming/reforming farmers’ groups, conducting training to the local   groups, support to start saving and credit scheme in groups and also able to prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual report) for documentation.

 

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Sc. Ag or Technical SLC (TSLC) in Plant Production, Animal Husbandry with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as JTA. Experience in community mobilization activities will be an added advantage.
  • Technical experience in on farm, Seasonal & off seasonal vegetable farming
  • Technically lead Farmer groups to turn their traditional agriculture practices in commercialization.
  • Able to deliver on farm trainings and orientation
  • Willing to work with various communities and cast groups.
  • Good knowledge on improve variety seeds, fertilizers, etc.
  • Able to coordinate & collaborate with local stakeholders
  • Community mobilization, group management & meeting facilitation skills would be preferred.
  • Able to speak local (Maithali) language
  • Having valid driving license.

 

  • Position :           Psychosocial Counsellor- 1

 

The Psychosocial Counsellor (PSC) is responsible for providing overall counselling services to the needy people at the target areas for effective and efficient case management and make access to the survivors to the referral services. S/he will coordinate, collaborate and networking with ward-based stakeholders i.e. WCRC, Community Mobilizer, Case Workers and other likeminded organizations and government counterparts for making the target program more achievable and meaningful for the entire adolescents and their family. S/he manages regular supervision of target communities under ward and collects relevant data, assure counselling services, support in referrals and reporting. In overall, S/he will play a prime role in case management, identify and facilitate the cases for better services and reports accordingly.

 

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • 6 months training on psychosocial counseling from reputed institution.
  • Should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or any other related disciplines with at least two-years working experience as a psychosocial counselor.
  • Able to work in diverse culture environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to organize and facilitate training/orientation of relevant sector.
  • Able to speak local (Maithili) language and having other languages i.e. Nepali, English is preferred.
  • Having valid driving license and own two-wheelers.

 

  • Position :           Sponsorship Program Assistant- 1

 

The SPA will report to the Sponsorship Program Officer and is responsible for disseminating Sponsorship and Child Safety Policy information to program staffs, community leaders, parents and children and also to collect case histories and photography of children along with proper parental consents within the given deadline and in an efficient manner. Likewise, to distribute the identity cards to all newly assigned children and collect their first communication and piece of correspondence within the time line as per sponsorship policies and procedures and mostly assist to Sponsorship Program Officer to prepare reports (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual report) for documentation.

 

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Intermediate with 2 years of experience in community mobilization activities
  • Able to work in diverse culture environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge on Computer MS Office.
  • Able to speak local (Maithili) language and having other languages i.e. Nepali, English is preferred.
  • Having valid driving license and own two-wheelers.
